Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 September 2026

BrickCircle helps adult LEGO enthusiasts find local reciprocal matches and coordinate temporary, in-person exchanges. BrickCircle is a platform and community tool; it is not a party to exchanges between members.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using BrickCircle, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into agreements to create an account or participate in exchanges. You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure.

3. What BrickCircle does

BrickCircle helps members catalogue LEGO sets, create wishlists, discover reciprocal local matches, send and receive exchange proposals, communicate, and coordinate temporary in-person exchanges. Features may evolve over time.

BrickCircle does not own, inspect, authenticate, value, transport, insure, guarantee, or take custody of members’ sets. Members transact directly with one another.

4. Local, in-person exchange model

The current BrickCircle model is local, in-person, and inspection-first. Members are responsible for choosing a safe public meeting place, verifying the identity of the person they meet, inspecting the actual set and its condition, completeness, packaging, and any missing or substituted parts before agreeing to a handoff.

Do not proceed with an exchange if you are uncomfortable with the person, location, set condition, or proposed terms.

5. Your listings and representations

You must describe your collection and exchangeable sets honestly. You must not knowingly misstate ownership, condition, completeness, authenticity, value, missing parts, or availability. You may only offer items that you own or are authorised to exchange.

6. Exchange responsibilities

Members are solely responsible for agreeing on exchange duration, handoff and return timing, care expectations, condition at handoff, and any other terms between them. You are responsible for safeguarding sets entrusted to you and returning them in the agreed condition, subject to ordinary agreed use.

If a dispute arises, members should first attempt to resolve it directly and in good faith. BrickCircle may offer reporting, records, or moderation tools but is not obligated to reimburse either party or adjudicate private property disputes.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

8. Safety

Meeting strangers involves risk. Meet in well-lit public places, consider bringing another person, do not share unnecessary home-address or financial information, and use your own judgment. In an emergency or where you believe a crime has occurred, contact the appropriate local authorities.

9. Fees and paid features

BrickCircle may introduce memberships, fees, paid services, or optional premium features in the future. Any applicable price and material terms will be shown before you agree to pay. Unless expressly stated, BrickCircle is not a payment processor or escrow service for member-to-member exchanges.

10. Content and licence

You retain ownership of content you submit, such as profile information, photos, messages, reviews, and listing details. You grant BrickCircle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, display, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You are responsible for having the rights necessary to upload or share your content.

11. Intellectual property and LEGO disclaimer

BrickCircle’s software, branding, design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy or use BrickCircle branding or software except as permitted by law or with permission.

12. Moderation, suspension and termination

We may investigate reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of the service. Serious or repeated abuse may result in permanent removal.

13. Availability and changes

BrickCircle may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep the service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrickCircle is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee the identity, reliability, honesty, ownership, condition, completeness, authenticity, value, safety, or conduct of any member or item, or that any match or exchange will be successful.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BrickCircle and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss, theft, damage, injury, dispute, or other harm arising from interactions or exchanges between members. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or costs arising from your unlawful use of BrickCircle, your breach of these Terms, your content, or your dealings with other members.

17. Privacy

18. Governing law and disputes
